Hello, and welcome to this simple breathing session.
Becoming relaxed is easier than you may think.
All it takes is a few minutes of your undivided attention.
So make sure you won't be disturbed by anyone or anything.
Find a comfortable position somewhere you can easily relax.
You want to have all of your body supported and your clothing loose around your waist
to allow for easy breathing.
You may close your eyes at this time if you're comfortable doing that.
If you're not, it's okay.
Just put your eyes in a soft gaze, staring down at the floor.
Begin by taking a nice big breath in, expanding your lungs as much as you can.
And as you let that breath out, pay attention to the sound that air makes as you exhale.
When you breathe in, hear the sounds of the air coming into your lungs, filling your lungs,
placing all of your attention on the breath.
Breathe in as much as you can, expanding your lungs, filling your belly, feeling that belly
rise.
Let the air go.
Feel yourself relaxing more.
Now breathe in again.
Fully focus this time.
Fully focus on that air filling your lungs, coming in, filling that belly up.
Go ahead and breathe that out, focusing on the feeling of letting out all of that breath,
all of that air.
Breathe in again.
Notice your body filling with air and breathe out, feeling your body contract.
Allow your breath to return to a natural automatic flow and notice how you feel now.
You're experiencing the benefits of mindfulness.
This is a training exercise for the mind.
It's not about perfection, but more about improving your willpower to get better, allowing
for improvement to happen slowly and in its own time.
Just like how going to the gym grows muscles and improves strength.
But this too is a slow process happening little by little with your dedication.
So take five deep, slow breaths on your own as you count them in, each breath slower and
deeper than the last.
Good.
Go ahead, keep continuing those breaths.
Let your breath return to an automatic rhythm and notice how you feel after taking these
five conscious breaths.
Breathing fully and with passion is a wonderful way to ease pain in your body and become one
with the time it takes to heal and mend.
Go ahead and return your awareness to the present moment, improving with each breath
Let your breath return to an automatic rhythm and notice how you feel after taking these
five deep breaths.
